Billing Policy
1. Billing Overview
This policy governs the billing process for individual module subscriptions, which can be purchased on a yearly or monthly basis. Each module operates independently, with distinct subscription durations and renewal cycles.
2. Module Subscription Billing Rules
2.1 Yearly Module Subscriptions
- Immediate Charge: When a module is subscribed to for a year, the full annual amount is charged immediately. The subscription duration is 365 days from the purchase date.
- Renewal Date: The module renews on the same calendar date the following year.
- Example: Subscription Date: November 15, 2024. Renewal Date: November 15, 2025.
2.2 Monthly Module Subscriptions
- Unified Monthly Billing: Monthly subscriptions for modules are billed on the 1st of each month, covering that month’s usage.
- Charges for modules purchased mid-month are prorated for the remaining days of the current month.
- Example: Module Cost: $50/month. Subscription Date: November 15 (30-day month). Prorated Charge = ($50 ÷ 30) × 16 = $26.67 (billed on December 1).
3. Multiple Modules and Billing
3.1 Independent Subscription Cycles
Each module has its own subscription term (monthly or yearly) and billing/renewal cycle.
3.2 Unified Billing Statement
Charges for all modules, including prorated fees for new subscriptions, will appear on a single invoice generated on the 1st of each month.
- Example:
- Module A: Subscribed yearly on November 15, 2024 ($120/year).
- Module B: Subscribed monthly on December 10, 2024 ($30/month).
4. Module Activation and Deactivation
4.1 Activation
Modules can be purchased and activated immediately via the user dashboard. Charges are calculated based on the selected term (monthly/yearly) and prorated if activated mid-cycle.
4.2 Deactivation
Users can deactivate modules at any time through the dashboard. Deactivation stops further billing for the module, effective from the deactivation date. Refunds or credits for unused days depend on the refund policy (see Refund Policy for details).
5. Renewal Rules
5.1 Yearly Subscriptions
Renewals occur on the exact subscription start date in the following year.
5.2 Monthly Subscriptions
Renewals occur on the 1st of each month, regardless of the subscription start date.
5.3 Notifications for Renewals
- Yearly Plans: 7 days before the renewal date.
- Monthly Plans: 3 days before the renewal date.
5.4 Renewal Charges
Renewal charges are processed automatically using the payment method on file. Users are responsible for ensuring their payment information is accurate to avoid service interruptions.
